Big Dave??? Hamgeri brothers?? Shanada? Those are a few names off the top you missed. A few of those players on your list were just hitting puberty when these guys were balling out. If its a list of top players from last decade (10 years), these youngins don't cut it

or is this a thread to shoutout the starting five/longest standing players on DC? lol.

p.s.- No argument from me whether or not BG should be on that list

iknow a decade is 10 years... that's why i put in parenthesis 5 years. i'm only doing the last 5 years. If it'll make ya'll feel better it's the all half decade team.

DC's kryptonite is the absence of their best player David Kadiri. Don't see DC getting anywhere without him. I foresee this team falling off and being nonexistent if he doesn't play again Confused

If you take the best player off of any team they will suffer not just DC.

Rankings:
1. Brooooklyn is at the top of the Mountain. Not only are they champs but they've been in 3 of 4 'chip games the past 4 years. They're the most athletic team and (minus BB from DC) the most talented. This chip was overdue IMO
2. Toronto is right up there. It's hard to beat a team 3x in a row and even harder to go undefeated for the tournament. The odds were stacked against them against BKN but they rep'd the North well. They have the most upside of any team and I'd take their top 7 against any in the tournament. They have the best record over a 2-year stretch (14-2) since DC went 14-1 from 2013-14
3. Baltimore is kinda new/kinda not new but one thing that remains the same is their struggles in the playoffs. Very odd team, they look great starting Day 1 but can't finish Day 2. The past two years they've (gburg) been knocked out of contention by the eventual champs, has to sting.
4. Philly is still holding on. They won't go away and this year they shocked the tournament with some key wins on day one and the playoffs. They have a versatile team that can attack in waves. I'm still holding out judgement on this team until i see them face a top-4 schedule in '17
5. DC isn't what they once were, that's obvious. They still have pedigree. The top three scorers in the tournament were SGs so two made all star, the third Alvin took up the slack for a DC team minus Big Baby. They'll be back in the top 2 as they acclimate to life without BB. New scorers have to emerge and maybe a slower tempo
